Class Reps help keep connection and communication in tip top shape! At the beginning of the school year, the PAC will request a parent volunteer from each division to be a representative for their class. Some duties include:
Helping the teacher coordinate parent volunteers for field trips or other classroom involvement
Coordinating holiday and year end gifts for teacher and support staff
Sharing volunteer opportunities for PAC initiatives
Reminding parents of PAC events
(Optional) Setting up an email list and/or group chat to foster close knit communication between classmates' families
Close communication has been found to help alleviate teacher's already full plate. Answering a question once, instead of the same question multiple times to multiple parents reduces redundancy.
Essential school information will always come from school administration. They will occasionally share news from the PAC. The PAC will communicate mostly through their own newsletter, which you can consent to join through the school's welcome package in September (or contact us!). The class rep reiterates PAC information and coordinates strong communication within their own class and teacher.
